2 c. flour
2 c. white sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Stir all together. Boil 1 stick butter, 1/2 cup Crisco, 4 tablespoons cocoa and 1 cup water. Pour hot mixture over dry ingredients and mix well. Then add 1/2 cup buttermilk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix and then add 2 eggs. Mix well. Pour into a greased sheet cake pan, 9 x 13. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. milk

Boil the above. Remove from heat and add: 1 c. walnuts 1 box powdered sugar

Beat well and frost the cake.
