LADY FINGER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 packs plain lady fingers
1 lb. sweet butter, room temperature
1 1/2 c. sugar
8 eggs
1 (8 oz.) box unsweetened chocolate bars
1 tsp. vanilla flavor
Cherries
Cool Whip

First line a springform pan, sides and bottom with plain lady fingers. Mix together 1 pound of sweet butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and add the 8 eggs one at a time; mix well.

In a double boiler, melt unsweetened chocolate bars then and add 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor.

Pour this over butter mixture, mix well, then pour into the lined pan. Let this sit in the refrigerator overnight. Spoon Cool Whip over top and add drained maraschino cherries.
