FIRE AND ICE TOMATOES 
6 med. tomatoes, peeled and quartered
1 med. onion, sliced
1 med. green pepper, cut in strips
1 lg. cucumber, peeled and sliced

Combine in a large bowl. Set aside.

3/4 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery salt
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1/8 tsp. pepper

Combine in saucepan. Bring to a boil - 1 minute. Pour over vegetables, cover and chill for 8 hours. Serve with slotted spoon.
