1 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar

4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. mace

Mix all together and put 1/2 of cake into 9x13 inch pan. Put any kind of pie filling on top and rest of batter. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Use powdered sugar glaze on top of cake.
