FINNISH MOKAJA - STEW 
2 lbs. beef stew meat
4 celery stalks, sliced
1 tbsp. whole allspice
1 3-4 c. water
5 carrots, cut into 1" pieces
5 potatoes, quartered
2-3 onions, quartered
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Brown meat and add 1 cup water. Simmer until meat is almost tender. Add rest of water, more if needed, and all of the vegetables and spices. Cook on medium heat for 1/2 to 3/4 hours or until meat and all the vegetables are tender.
