MILLION DOLLAR POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. unsifted plain flour
3/4 c. milk
6 eggs
1 tbsp. lemon extract
1 tbsp. vanilla extract

Combine sugar and butter; cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour to cream mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each. Stir in flavoring.

Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 300 degrees.
