9 - VEGETABLE MEAT STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. stewing beef
1/2 lb. lamb
1/2 lb. pork
1 green pepper
2 potatoes
1 yellow onion
1 purple onion
1 c. chopped carrots
1 c. peas
1 c. corn
1 c. string beans
1 c. lima beans
2 qts. V-8 juice
Pinch sugar
White pepper
Dash Tabasco sauce
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce

Chop meat into 1/2-inch cubes. Fry over medium heat until fully cooked. chop green pepper, onions, carrots, and potatoes into 1/2-inch cubes. Add all vegetables to 1 1/2 quarts V-8; add pinch sugar, white pepper, Tabasco, and Worcestershire. Bring to boil.

Add meat; bring to second boil, reduce heat, and cook over low heat 6 hours, stirring occasionally (avoid burning). Add reserved V-8 juice during last 2 hours to desired consistency. Adjust seasoning.
