EASY NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER 
1 c. onion, chopped
2 carrots, sliced thin
1 stalk celery
1/4 c. butter
1 (10 oz.) can clams with liquid
2 cans cream of potato soup
2 2/3 c. half and half
Salt and pepper to taste

Place onions, carrots and celery in 4 quart casserole. In microwave, full power 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook on full power for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
