CHICKEN DELIGHT | |
8 to 12 chicken breasts, boned and skinned Cut each in 2 or 3 pieces. Fry or microwave bacon strips, drain on paper towels, and AT ONCE wrap each piece of chicken with one strip of bacon. Place chicken in casserole and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix together: 2 cans cream of celery soup 1 c. sour cream 2 c. wine (dry sherry) 1/2 c. celery (cut very fine) Pour over chicken in casserole, if not enough to cover chicken, add a little water. Sprinkle over top 1 or 2 envelopes of Lipton's cream of chicken cup-a-soup powder. Cover with tight lid and bake in oven at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Note: You can wrap chicken with bacon the day before the party and refrigerate in covered casserole to save time! It's delicious! |
