CHEESY CORN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 (15 oz.) can cream style corn
1/2 c. salad oil
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
1/2 (3 1/2 oz.) can jalapeno peppers, finely chopped (opt.)
2 tbsp. minced green bell pepper
2 tbsp. minced onion
1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese

Stir the cornmeal, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. Add everything except the cheese. Mix. Pour half the mixture into greased 10 1/2" round skillet or pie pan. Sprinkle half the cheese over this. Add remaining mixture and cover with the other half of the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
