PEAS AMANDINE | |
2 lbs. peas About 1 2/3 c. water 2/3 c. chopped bacon slices 1/4 c. minced onion 1/2 c. slivered almonds 1/2 c. whipping cream Steam peas over boiling water for about 5 minutes. In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, fry bacon and onion until light brown. Add peas, almonds and heat through. Stir in cream and serve. Serves 4. |
