BLONDE BROWNIES 
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. water
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nut, chopped (optional)
12 oz. chocolate chips

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Set aside. In large saucepan melt butter. Remove from heat. Add brown sugar and water. Cool slightly. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour mixture and nuts. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Cut into bars.
