CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE | |
1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 (1 lb.) can chocolate syrup 1 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 pt. heavy cream, whipped 1 tsp. instant coffee 1 tbsp. honey Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add 1/2 cup chocolate syrup. Sift flour with baking powder; stir into sugar mixture. Add remaining chocolate syrup, vanilla and walnuts; mix well. Pour into greased 9 x 12 inch loaf pan or a 1 1/2 quart tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, cool. Mix whipped cream, instant coffee and honey; spread on cake. |
