Pillsbury's or equivalent home style biscuits Pizza sauce Cheese Mushrooms (opt., cook first) Sausage (opt., cook first) EQUIPMENT NEEDED: 1 five gallon metal pail Heavy duty aluminium foil 1 cookie sheet (10"x15") 1 good bed of hot coals OVEN: Place pail on hot coals and put foil over the mouth of the pail. Allow a few minutes for the can to come up to heat. After about five minutes you are ready for baking. (NOTE: The temperature in your oven will not be exactly the temperature that the recipe calls for. Keep an eye on what you are cooking so you won't burn it.) PIZZA: Grease the cookie sheet or spread on it. Roll or spread biscuit dough into a four or five inch round crust. Then put on pizza sauce, your favorite topping or toppings, and then top with cheese. Place cookie sheet in the pail and put foil back over the mouth of the pail. After about five minutes, check your pizza. If the cheese is melted and the crust is starting to turn brown, the pizzas are done. CAUTION: BE CAREFUL THAT YOU DO NOT BURN THE BOTTOM OF THE PIZZAS. (If you should be cooking these in an oven, set oven to 425 degrees and let them bake for five minutes.) |
