MAGIC CASSEROLE 
3 c. hot mashed potatoes
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter
1 can French fried onions
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen broccoli spears, cooked & drained
1 c. shredded American cheese

Whip together first 5 ingredients until smooth. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Fold in 1/2 onions. Spread potato mixture over bottom and up sides of a buttered 8"x12" baking pan to form a shell. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Arrange hot broccoli spears in potato shell, sprinkle with cheese and remaining onions. Bake, uncovered 5 minutes.
