SPANISH BEEF RICE | |
1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 med. onion, sliced 1/2 med. green pepper, chopped 1/2 c. ground beef 1 c. regular rice, uncooked 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 3/4 c. hot water 1 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 1 tsp. prepared mustard Heat oil in skillet; add onion and green pepper, beef and rice. Stir until brown. Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer 25 minutes. (1/2 cup grated cheese may be added if desired just before serving.) |
