KOLACHI 
8 1/2 c. flour
8 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 c. oil
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

FILLING:

2 c. sugar
2 c. chopped walnuts or 2 c. chopped poppy seed, ground
8 egg whites, beaten until stiff

Mix water with yeast; let stand. Add flour with salt, baking powder. Add remaining wet ingredients together then add yeast mixture with dry. Refrigerate overnight. Bring to room temperature. Divide into 8 sections. Mix filling. Roll out dough, spread with filling. Roll up. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 10 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
