1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup water
1 egg
1 cup plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup plain M&M'S®

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Blend shortening and sugar. Beat in vanilla, water and egg. Sift remaining dry ingredients together and add to sugar and egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in M&M'S®. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
