1 c. butter
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Jelly or jam

In large bowl of electric mixer, cream butter, cream cheese and sugar. Stir in vanilla. Mix flour and salt together. Add to cream cheese mixture. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Form into 3/4" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Make indentation in center of cookie with finger. Fill with 1/4 teaspoon jelly or jam. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 13 minutes. 5 dozen.
