1 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1 c. cornstarch
3 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients. Make into a roll, then place red or green colored sugar on waxed paper and roll the cookie roll to cover. Place in refrigerator until set. Remove and cut in slices. Top each cookie with a piece of colored candied cherry. Bake at 350 degrees until bottom edges begin to turn - best almost white.
