AUNT SARAH'S SALAD 
3 different kinds of lettuce (head, Romaine, Escarole for example)
Sliced deli Swiss cheese
Red onion rings
1 sm. can baby peas (ex: LeSueur, canned, drained
Mayonnaise
Sugar
Crisp bacon bits

Create a minimum of 3 layers by assembling per layer: lettuce (broken into salad size pieces), then Swiss cheese cut into narrow strips, peas sparingly sprinkled, halved onion rings sprinkled with sugar and last dot with mayonnaise; let stand a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator; add bacon bits and toss just before serving.
