CHICKEN BROCCOLI CHOWDER 
2 c. carrot slices
2 c. water
1 1/2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
10 3/4 oz. can chicken broth
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. cubed Swiss cheese

Combine carrots, water, chicken, broccoli, onion and salt in 4 quart pan. Bring to boil then simmer 10 minutes.

In small saucepan melt butter and add flour; mix well slowly; add chicken broth. Bring to boil to thicken. Stir in milk. Add this to vegetables. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Cover, let stand on very low heat (stirring often) until cheese melts.
