ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
1 c. chopped onion
4 tbsp. olive oil
2 lbs. ground beef
4 cloves garlic, mashed
4 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. chopped parsley
3 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. thyme
2 bay leaves

Cook onion, add meat and garlic. Brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 2 hours.
