ALMOND ROCA 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped almonds
12 oz. semi - sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp. paraffin
1/4 c. finely chopped almonds

Combine butter and sugar in heavy sauce pan over medium high heat. Stir constantly until hard crack stage or butter scotch in color. Stir 1/2 cup chopped almonds into candy and pour immediately onto foil. Spread thin with spoon or spatula. Melt chips, add paraffin and melt together. Spread over candy. Sprinkle finely chopped almonds on top while chocolate is still hot. After cool, break into pieces.
