FRIED GREEN BEANS 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas (fresh peas may be used)
Cornmeal
Salt & pepper to taste
Cooking oil

Thaw green peas or wash fresh peas leaving wet enough to coat with cornmeal. Salt and pepper to taste. Place cooking oil about 1/8 inch deep in 10 inch iron skillet. Heat then add peas. Place lid over skillet and steam over low heat until peas are tender. Remove lid, turn heat up and brown cornmeal coating. Serve hot.

Note: More or less cooking oil may be needed to keep from getting too dry or too oily.
