BEANS & WEINERS WAKIKI | |
2 tbsp. butter 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks (reserve juice) 1 (1 lb.) pkg. weiners, cut into chunks 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/3 cup ketchup (Hunts) 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 (31 oz.) can pork & beans (I use Van Camp's) Melt butter in large skillet. Add onion, green pepper, pineapple (reserve juice) and weiner chunks. Simmer 5 minutes. Add pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and brown sugar. Heat until bubbly. Pour beans into large baking dish. Add pineapple mixture. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Submitted by: Wendy |
