STRAWBERRY GLAZE PIE 
3 1/2 c. fresh hulled strawberries, sliced (1 qt.)
3/4 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water
A few drops red food coloring
1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
9" baked pie crust, cooled

Glaze: Cook sugar, cornstarch, salt, water and 1 cup strawberries in a small saucepan until thickened. Add vanilla and enough red food coloring to brighten. Set aside to cool.

Line baked pie shell with remaining strawberries. Pour cooled glaze over berries. Beat whipping cream with a mixer. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to the cream. Put the whipped cream on top of glaze. Arrange some sliced strawberries on top of pie. Chill.
