PINEAPPLE ICEBOX CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, juice & all
1 c. chopped pecans
2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. box vanilla wafer
Cool Whip

Cream butter with sugar until fluffy. Add egg and beat, then stir in pineapple. Add pecans and vanilla. Choose a 10" covered pan. Cover bottom with a layer of whole thin vanilla wafers, cover with pineapple mixture. Repeat layering 4 times. Top with Cool Whip. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight. Serves 18.
