CATHERINE'S CHOCOLATE DROPS 
2 squares unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.)
1/2 c. salad oil
1 1/2 c. C & H Golden Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 egg, unbeaten
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt chocolate in top of large double boiler or mixing bowl over hot water. Remove from heat and blend in oil and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Sift flour with soda and salt; stir into chocolate mixture. Add nuts and mix thoroughly. Chill about 1 hour.
