CATHERINE'S BROWNIES 
2 (1 oz.) sq. bitter chocolate
1/4 lb. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Powdered sugar for garnish

Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave. Stir in remaining ingredients (except powdered sugar) in the order given. Pour into greased 8 x 12 x 1 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for only 20 minutes. Take out while brownies are still gooey. Cool slightly. Cut into squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
