MEATBALLS IN WINE SAUCE 
4 slices bread
1/2 c. milk
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. basil
1 can consomme
1/2 c. Sauterne
1/4 c. water

Soak bread in milk. Add meat, salt, pepper, eggs and basil; mix well. Shape into small meatballs; place in dish and add consomme, sauterne and water. Simmer until done. Yields 6 servings.
