PERSIMMON BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. persimmon pulp
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream together butter and sugar. Mix dry ingredients with creamed mixture. Pour into 9x13 inch pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into bars.
