BEEF NOODLES MARZETTI | |
1/2 (1 lb.) pkg. Creamette egg noodles 1 lb. lean ground beef 3/4 c. chopped onion 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. oregano leaves 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese 3/4 c. chopped green pepper 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and 1 pieces, drained 1/2 tsp. sugar, optional Prepare noodles according to package directions. Drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large skillet, brown meat, pour off meat. Add green pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook and stir until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles and cheese. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in cooked noodles. Turn into greased 3 quart shallow baking dish (13 x 9 inch). cover and bake 20 minutes or until bubbly. Top with cheese, bake 3 minutes longer. 6 to 8 servings. |
