“TRIPLE BERRY MONTE CRISTO SANDWICH” IS IN:

TRIPLE BERRY MONTE CRISTO
SANDWICH
 
3 lg. eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. milk
pinch of salt
1/4 cup Smucker's Orchard's Finest Northwest Triple Berry Preserves
8 slices Challah bread
1/4 lb. thinly shaved smoked cooked turkey breast
4 slices muenster cheese
1/4 lb. thinly shaved smoked cooked ham
2 tbsp. butter, softened
powdered sugar, for garnish

Whisk eggs, milk and salt in a shallow medium bowl. Assemble sandwiches by spreading preserves on one side of each bread slice. Divide shaved turkey, equally placing on 4 slices of bread. Top with a slice of cheese, then divide ham equally on 4 sandwiches. Top with remaining bread, preserves side down.

Cut sandwiches in half diagonally. Dip each sandwich half into egg, coating on all sides. Pan fry sandwich in large skillet in butter over medium heat, on all sides, till golden brown. Serve warm dusted with powdered sugar.

Makes 4 sandwiches.
