ALMOND ROCA BARS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. flour

Cream butter. Add white sugar, brown sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, and almond flavoring. Add flour; mix well. Spread on ungreased jelly roll sheet and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 325 degrees.

When baked, sprinkle one small package chocolate chips on top and spread. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. Cool slightly and cut into squares. Do not over bake.
