CHICKEN SLAW 
1 sm. head shredded cabbage
1 lg. carrot, cut into sm. cubes
1 dozen green onions, chopped sm.
1/2 c. sliced almonds (toasted)
1 c. cooked chicken, cut into cubes or strips (optional)
1 pkg. Maruchan chicken flavor Oriental noodle soup

DRESSING:

3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 packet Maruchan chicken soup flavor

Shake in jar to mix, and chill.

Mix vegetables together; add the chilled dressing and stir. Next, add the chicken if using) and then the toasted almonds. Finally, crumble the Maruchan noodles and mix into salad right before serving.
