BARBECUED SPARERIBS (COUNTRY STYLE) | |
1 1/2 or 2 lbs. ribs, cut into serving size pieces 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 c. Bar-b-que sauce (with liquid smoke or put in besides if not in sauce) 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. water 1 tbsp. brown sugar Combine ingredients for sauce and boil 2 or 3 minutes. Pour over ribs, cover. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours basting frequently. Remove cover and increase to 350 degrees during last 1/2 hour to brown ribs. Do not allow ribs to get dry, so cover often with sauce. Meat falls off bones and so tender and good. NOTE: Also sauce can be used for chops on the grill. Marinate until chops are done. You will need thick chops at least 1 inch thick. |
