1/2 c. butter
1 (16 oz.) can or 1 3/4 c. sweetened applesauce
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts

Melt butter in bowl and add all other ingredients. Grease pan; dust with flour. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes, do not over bake. Good just the way it is, but to dress it up--powdered sugar or cream cheese icing are great too.
