STROMBOLI 
2 loaves French bread
1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms
1 lb. sausage
1 tbsp. Italian seasoning (or 1 tsp. oregano, basil, and thyme)
16 oz. shredded Mozzarella
1/2 c. grated Parmesan
Garlic salt
1/4 c. chopped onion (optional)
1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
Sliced pepperoni (optional)

Slice French loaves in half lengthwise. Spread tomato sauce equally over the 4 pieces. Top each piece with equal amounts of Italian seasoning. (Can be more or less to taste). Sprinkle a little garlic salt on each also. Then top with Mozzarella cheese. Brown and drain sausage. Add sausage, mushrooms, and other toppings desired. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake on rack in center of oven at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 5 healthy servings.
