MOLASSES ICEBOX GINGER SNAPS | |
3/4 c. molasses 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 c. butter 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. salt 3 1/2 c. flour Heat molasses and pour over shortening. Let melt. Add dry ingredients and blend thoroughly. Shape dough into long rolls to be refrigerated and sliced into 1/2 inch thick slices, when ready to bake. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies. |
