APPLE CORN BREAD 
3/4 c. roasted yellow cornmeal
3/4 c. white flour
1/4 c. wheat flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted shortening
2 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. diced apples
3/4 c. milk

Sift all dry ingredients. Add beaten egg and milk. Stir until blended. Add apples and shortening. Mix thoroughly. Pour into greased 9-inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
