BOILED CUSTARD 
1 1/2 gallons milk
3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 dozen eggs, separated
5 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. vanilla flavoring

Heat milk in large cooker. When it comes to a boil, add all ingredients except beaten egg whites. After mixture has cooked 20 minutes, fold in beaten egg whites. Remove from heat. Store in a cool place until custard is thoroughly chilled.
