WILD MEAT BALLS 
2 lbs. ground round
1 sm. onion, finely grated (save pulp and juice)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 can whole cranberry sauce

Mix beef, onion, salt and pepper. Using 1 level tablespoon for each, shape meatballs. Either brown meatballs in large skillet in 2 tablespoon oil and 2 tablespoons butter or brown on cookie sheet in oven at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Into a clean skillet, put tomato paste and cranberry sauce, stir over low heat to blend. Add meatballs and simmer until cooked through. For an appetizer serve on toothpicks. Serves 8 as appetizer, 4 as entree.

VARIATION: In place of ground round use ground turkey. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of poultry seasoning to ground turkey.
