FORGOTTEN COOKIES 
2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chocolate bits (optional)
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually add sugar. Add vanilla. If desired, put in a small amount of chocolate bits or nuts and drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet.

Put cookies in oven and turn off the heat. Do not open door but leave in the oven overnight or for 8-10 hours.
