FEATHERY LIGHT BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 tbsp. warm water
5 c. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
Melted butter

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside. Combine dry ingredients, cut in shortening, add buttermilk, and mix well. Turn on floured surface. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness and brush with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
