POULTRY DRESSING | |
4 c. toasted bread, cut in cubes 1 onion, chopped fine 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 c. milk 1/2 c. melted butter 2 beaten eggs 1 tsp. sage Season bread cubes with salt, pepper and sage. Combine milk, butter and eggs. Add to bread, onion and celery. Let set an hour or more before using, keeping well covered. Makes enough for a small turkey. Can be kept in refrigerator overnight. I also add some browned ground beef for flavor and added moistness. |
