SMOKED PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES | |
6 smoked pork chops (about 3/4" thick) 1 c. cranberry apple drink 1/3 c. maple or maple flavor syrup 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 2 med. red cooking apples In skillet over high heat, heat chops, cranberry - apple drink, maple syrup and vinegar to boiling. Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook 15 minutes turning chops once. Meanwhile, cut apples into wedges. Remove pork chops to platter. Add apple wedges to liquid in skillet. Heat to boiling and cook uncovered until apples are fork tender and liquid is thick and syrupy (about 10 minutes). To serve: Return pork to skillet; heat through, turning chops once to coat with glaze. Arrange chops and apples on platter. |
