CARAMEL FILLING 
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. cream or evaporated milk
1 lg. lump butter (2 tbsp.)

Let these come to a boil, reduce heat and cook 5 minutes. Cool slightly, then add confectioners sugar until the consistency of soft peanut butter is reached. Flavor with 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon almond.
