DATE KRISPIE BALLS 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. Rice Krispies

Cook sugar, butter and dates on low heat for 12 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla. Mix well and shape into balls. Roll in confectioners' sugar. Store in tin.
