APPLE RING 
3/4 c. butter
1 egg, separated
1/2 c. sugar
6 med. apples, peeled and thinly sliced
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine butter, cream cheese and egg yolk and beat until smooth. Blend flour into cream cheese mixture. Divide into 3 balls and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour (may be refrigerated overnight). Cook apples, sugar and cinnamon in small amount of water on low heat until apples are tender and mixture is thick and bubbly. Allow mixture to cool and divide into 3 equal portions. Roll one of the balls into a 10 x 13 inch rectangle using as little flour as possible. Spread apple mixture over dough and roll up from 10 inch side. Repeat process for each ball of dough. Beat egg white and brush each ring. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
